Why Choose BREATHE Pelvic Therapy and Fitness?
Choosing BREATHE Pelvic Therapy means receiving holistic care that treats you as a whole person — not just a diagnosis code. We don’t stop at treating a single condition — we follow up with you, supporting your ongoing recovery and long-term well-being. We prioritize your best interests, addressing dysfunction and pain effectively and efficiently.
Do I need a doctor’s referral to see the pelvic floor specialist?
No in the state of Massachusetts you do not need a pelvic referral to see a physical therapist. Massachusetts has direct practice, and you can schedule directly with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
How often and how long are the treatments?
BREATHE Pelvic physical therapy is not the same as traditional physical therapy. At BREATHE, appointment frequency is determined after your Initial Evaluation, with most sessions scheduled once a week and lasting between 60 to 90 minutes of dedicated, one-on-one care with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
In contrast, traditional physical therapy often involves shorter, 30-minute sessions with only about 5 minutes of hands-on treatment, typically scheduled 2–3 times per week. At BREATHE, we focus on providing high-quality, individualized care that respects your time and supports lasting results.
